They Call Me "Dad".

THE REFUGEE CAMP CHANGED ME AS A PERSON.

(Andrew Taylor worked as a volunteer for the education program of the UNHCR in PFAC Palawan for 12 productive years. During his first year, 12 months, he was totally unpaid, but he gave his full heart and soul to the Vietnamese refugees and found true happiness as a result.)

I went to the refugee camp to work as a volunteer and then I ended up really serving the Vietnamese refugees and making a difference in their lives. I helped ease their pain, taught them proper English communication skills, shared with them my heart and precious times, and more importantly empowered them. Eventually, I found a family in the hearts of the Vietnamese Refugees.

And today three former students just called me "dad". Indeed some things in this world are worth more than any material things. What a blessing. What a gift. I am grateful to God for using me as an instrument to make a lasting impression on other people's lives.

The Vietnamese refugees have enormously changed my life and perspectives in a way that no one can ever imagine . God bless us all.

Remembering PFAC Palawan son- Vy Duc

Hello everyone! It is in deep sorrow that I have to inform you that Vy Duc, who was like a son to me, had passed. He joined our Creator yesterday (April 11) at 11:30 p.m. in Paris. Like his wife and the whole family, I am in deep shock but I think I'm coping. Duc and I were very close and I will forever miss him. He will always be a son to me and his family, my family. On behalf of Duc's family, I'd like to ask you to please pray for Duc's eternal repose. I will keep you posted as the family continues to communicate with me. In the meantime, here are some memorable pictures that Duc and I took seven years ago in Paris.
