IN A HEARTBEAT

"I will definitely do the same Service for
  the Vietnamese People again
IN A HEARBEAT!
                                                                                             Andrew Taylor

Nhan Trong Le: Time goes by...but Andrew is always Andrew.  He has great sense of humour and is a humble man.  I wasn't in Andrew's class, but who didn't know him at HTC?  That pic of you holding those two little kids?  Wow!  You must be a proud man.  Classic pic indeed.  Thanks for the affection you have for the Vietnamese people.  How you still remembered all your students' names was unbelievable.  Good luck.

Tung Anh Vo: Wow! You still keep this picture! I love it very much.

Andrew Taylor: Tung, who are these children?   They're around 28 to 32 years old now.  Where are they?

Andrew Taylor: I remember, I asked these two children, "Why are you going back to Vietnam?" They just smiled at me like angels. My heart was broken. And it took me over 5 years before I could post this picture of them 'cause every time I look at it, my heart breaks.  And today my heart broke again.

Linda Carolyn: Que lindo te ves Andrew con los ninos que jovencito estas. Amigo. Bendiciones! (Translations: "How nice to see you, Andrew with those young children.  You're a friend. God bless!)

Andrew Taylor: Nhan Tron Le is absolutely right. This is a classic picture. If I could recreate the same picture with the same 3 people, it would be a dream come true for me.

Tung Anh Vo: Nice to see these two children again, Andy.  Love you always.

Andrew Taylor: Do Hanh Quyen, Huynh Luu Huong Thao, Phan Thi Phuong Thao, Nguyen Thai Hoa, Do Dang Minh Hue, Nguyen Trung Tran, Pham Hoang Minh Chuong, and Le Hoa Binh.

Andrew Taylor: You see? I still remember all the full-names of my students. You guys can't hide from me.

Ty Do: I know you have very good memory.

Nhan Trong Le:  If I remembered correctly.  This was one of your top level classes back then.  It was normally run late in the afternoon, I think. I was sometimes peeping outside, so jealous coz I was so little.  My English was crap.  Still is now (hehe).

Andrew Taylor: Yes, this was my Grade 12 Class. You were not the only one who told me that you were peeping through my classroom window hoping to one day get into my class. All I can say is that I love the Vietnamese people and I will do the same service again in a heart beat.

Ty Do: Where was this picture taken, sir?

Andrew Taylor: Hue, oi. I will never, never forget this moment. You cried a lot during this occasion. This picture was taken on the boat in Palawan when I left for Canada in 1992.

Ty Do: You're right. I cried a lot because you only taught me for a year, then you said goodbye

Andrew Taylor: I know, but one year was enough to make you the way you are today? I love you guys.

Ty Do: Of course.  Without you how can I succeed.

Andrew Taylor: Thank you for saying that, Ty Do. That's a great validation for   me and all the teachers in PFAC.

Ty Do: Thiet do cho ! Hahahaha!

Andrew Taylor: I'd like to thank my son Hoa Nguyen, who played a great role why I'm still very well connected with most of my former students.  Thank you, son.
