ReplyDeleteI woke up this morning thinking about planning my next trip back to Vietnam and then to Palawan. I told my husband that I want to visit the camp I ran around playing in the dirt during the two years I lived there (1980 - 1982, I was only 2 years old). I googled "Vietnamese Refugee Camp in Palawan" and your blog shows up. I was estatic!! I don't remember much but heard many stories from my mom and dad. We also have pictures so I'll try to post them on here. I've read all your articles and they're so moving!! You have such a big heart and I just want to thank you and the generous people of the Phillipines for giving us Vietnamese refugee a second chance to relive our lives. And thank you so much for starting this blog, now I think you should write a memoir!
By the way, I live in Minnesota, your next door neighbor!
